My Story - as Evangeline May

Many may recognise my boutique 'Evangeline-May' as a former lingerie store; reselling vintage Victoria's Secret corset's and night dresses from the 1900s.

Though as the company grew; it had become something I wasn't proud of anymore. As the founder of Evangeline-May I wanted my work to reflect the faith that I had found in becoming a Christian. Reselling sexual fashion and branding it as "Feminism" was something I took time to educate myself about deeper. Eventually, it lead me to feeling unfulfilled in the work that I was producing to my customers. Though I do still admire the beauty that the vintage corsets and lingerie hold, it's no longer an industry that I want to continue fuelling.

Letting go of such a successful business model was hard, but my trust in my saviour Jesus Christ will be forever eternal.

As Evangeline-May has always done best; we continue to resell some of the most high-quality products from our favourite brands. These are mostly all deadstock pieces from our brands such as; Saint/Ralph Lauren, Free People, Liz Lisa, Jane Norman & other underground smaller companies that advocate for their factory workers rights first. Shopping through our resale collection helps us grow in our main message to continue protesting against unethical manufacturing conditions & continue to help our environment thrive through this generational season of fast fashion.

At Evangeline-May, we fix, tamper, sew and re-create a new life in each of our products. Though some are brand new with it's tags, we still ensure they are checked before selling. If there are any defects to our clothing we make sure to disclose all information within the product description, however; we know where to draw the line. We only resell clothing that can be worn and or repaired to good condition. We bring off- sale clothes back to the market, with a cheaper price.
